Test Batch #2 and New Stretch Goals!

Two big updates for you today!

Firstly, I made a second test batch of the bars yesterday evening with my new recipe, and they turned out perfect!

Well... almost perfect. The unscented/uncolored bars came out great. They're nice and hard and after curing overnight don't feel slippery or greasy when you pick them up (the bubbles are an easy fix too, I forgot to spray).

The franken-pour you see there? That was my attempt at using the colorant and some fragrance. Unfortunately the batter cooled so quickly that it became a huge mess trying to pour it and I ended up with these chunky and not-too-nicely colored bars. The fragrance also needs to be doubled probably from what I used, because the natural scent of the ingredients overpowered it (I tried making myself some cotton candy lotion and it smells -sort of- like cotton candy, but mostly like the ingredients).

That's an easy fix though, I just need to not let it cool so much before I mix. I'll also probably look into setting the mixing container in some hot water to keep it warmer longer while I stick blend it all together.

The good takeaway from this is that I have the recipe down perfect now. It's just the add-ins that I need to tweak to make sure I can make a consistent product :)

In other news, we back-slid just a little bit, so we're back under 200%. That's okay though because we have plenty of time to hop back over that hurdle! I've been pecking away at more stretch goal ideas and here's what I've gotten so far:

- $4200: If we hit this goal, all backer tiers that include a shipped reward will receive a free LARGE size Clean Yeen window cling! Have this happy boy peeking out over the sill of your bedroom window, the back seat of your car, or wherever else you decide to put him. Because of the nature of a cling, this "sticker" will be completely repositionable and reusable, with no sticky residue to have to deal with.

- $4600: If we hit this goal I'll create a special 4-bar novelty gift that will be available to purchase in my shop (and pre-order through backerkit). It will include 4 mix-and-match 2oz bars shaped like actual butter sticks, wrapped in wax paper like the real thing and sealed in a "Hyena Butter Brand" box (Design to-be revealed). Also, all 7+ bar backers will receive a free enamel pin!

- $5000: At 5k ALL backer tiers that include a shipped reward will receive a free enamel pin!

We've crossed $4000! WOW!!!!

That means we've unlocked enough funds for me to create 400 2oz BARS Of HYENA BUTTER!! And every person that has backed a tier including 3+ bars will now receive a free 1oz sample cup of Clean Yeen Coffee Bean scrub!

I'm absolutely blown away by the support this project has received. You all have my truest heartfelt thanks for helping me create something new and better!

BUT WAIT!

We've still got one week left! That means there's still plenty of time to hit even higher goals!

I'll be spending today doing some research and drafting up even bigger stretch goals for us to strive for. Expect another update tonight (or tomorrow morning if I end up getting too excited while researching lol) with the new stretch goals and their associated rewards! Winning Pin Reveal!

Hi everyone, happy Monday!

Voting on the pin reward design is officially closed! I added up the votes and the winning design (by a large margin) was B! I added a few extra details and will be finalizing the details with my manufacturer tonight! Once it's all set I'll be putting the pricing information into the Extras shop image in the campaign story.

Also, we're only $161 away from the final stretch goal! When we hit it every tier for 3+ bars will receive a free 1oz sample of Clean Yeen Coffee Bean Scrub with their shipped rewards! Keep pushing us forward so we can get there!

Vapor Core Reveal!

After a lengthy back and fourth of different scent mixtures and concepts, I've finally decided on the scent for the Vapor Core bars!

Find yourself on the streets of a neon-drenched city with top notes of rain and sweet heliotrope. A nearby bar brings rum and leather base-notes as a passing speeder kicks formula 1 exhaust into the air, mixing with the wet earth for an ozone-filled finish. This bar will leave you feeling like a character in an 80s dystopian future series - but cleaner.

I put a lot of work into making this scent something that would fit the novel theme but still smell amazing, so I hope you're as excited about it as I am! Let me know what you think in the comments!

Also, we're super close to hitting the final stretch goal! One more push and we'll unlock enough materials for 400 bars, and every pledge tier that includes 3 or more bars will receive a free 1oz sample of Clean Yeen Coffee Bean scrub! I might even have a few more surprises for you too once we pass it ;)

Stretch Goal 5 UNLOCKED!

We've passed the $3500 mark and have successfully unlocked the Clean Yeen Coffee Bean Scrub!!! I hope you're all as excites as I am because this is amazing!!! Thank you so much to everyone who's supported this project so far and helped get us here!

The 4oz scrub containers will be available to purchase after the campaign through backerkit at a discounted price for backers as thanks ($12 for backers, $15 for non-backers) - but I'll also be making two new pledge tiers: one for any backers that just want to snag the scrub, and one that includes one scrub and one bar! Look out for those to pop up shortly as I'll be setting them up after this update goes out.

Alongside the scrub, we've also unlocked the final Extra item, a pin! I told you in an earlier update that I'd have some designs ready for you to choose from, and here they are: 

Pin A would be a fully metal pin, featuring raised polished details (the grey), a raised signature stamp on the back, and a metal butterfly clasp backing

Pins B and C would both be enamel pins, featuring hard enamel with screen-printed detailing, a raised signature stamp on the back, and soft rubber backings

Whichever ends up getting made will measure approximately 2.5". This is where you come in! It's up to you to decide which you'd like to see made! Comment on this update with a vote for pin A, pin B, or pin C and whichever pin has the highest number of votes by Monday the 21st will be made!
